In December of 2017 we held a surprise 60th birthday party for my husband. The party was attended by 225 plus people of all nationalities, ranging in age from infant to 85 years old. The post party comments were positive related to the amount of people, location, off street parking and food. But consistently people remarked, that what took the party from good to great was the DJ! Kevin asked questions prior to the event in the interest of understanding his audience. That night there was clear validation that he had done his homework and came well prepared to meet the music and dance preferences of all. This was evidenced by the well engaged and over packed dance floor for 4 continuous hours. Additionally, it is important to understand Kevin conducts himself as a total professional with an honest interest in making a party memorable. He definitely did that for us and I very strongly recommend him to others.

Surprise Birthday Party

We got married in March 2018. Months prior to the wedding, when we decided we'd like our first dance to be bachata-inspired, we consulted several different instructors in the Philadelphia-area for choreography help. After attending numerous Bachata Thursday nights at Lucha Cartel in Olde City, we tracked down the head instructor and resident DJ of the event, Kevin Ngo, for some further private instruction. Kevin provided us with six classes of intermediate level Bachata lessons at a very affordable cost, where we not only focused on some of the more complex moves and steps, but also fine-tuned many of the basic principles of a good dance. Kevin's continued patience, helpful advice, and creative techniques really prepared us well for our wedding first dance. Kevin was also kind enough to use his DJ experience to refine the mixing on our audio track at no extra cost. He also brought his partner Keila in for a session to better demonstrate the collaborative aspect of the dance.  We felt very comfortable under his instruction and would recommend Kevin to anyone of any level who is seeking a more personalized and fun experience to learning Bachata.

From his incredible set-up to his ability to mix music to the vibe of audience, Kevin was able to take our party to the next level. We received numerous compliments about the evening and one of the biggest reasons was because of DJ Kevin Ngo.
